We welcomed two visitors (a third called in and apologized for her absence due to illness - she is keen to join us) to our meeting which went exceedingly well. Two application forms were taken away for consideration.
Plenty on the go and many initiatives are starting to come to fruition at last!
It is all good and it is only the start of March.

Excellent meeting today with four guests in our midst!
Even better that three of the guests took away application forms. We would welcome their presence in the group. We are delighted to see continued growth in Fortunetwork and so it really is upwards and onwards for us all.
Presentations from John Ferguson and Ann Confrey were pertinent in their timing and the points made. We will be addressing these in the weeks and months to come. The message is move at the speed of change.

It was good to welcome our guests this morning into what was a busy meeting with plenty of new work being discussed, projects, growth and new appointments. Also we have 13 guests expected to visit us during February so far.
Appointed onto the Board of Advisors in Edinburgh was Neil Fraser and Joanna Pirie.
Kathryn Thomas has stepped down as she is now a Director of Fortunetwork Ltd.
Thank you to Louise Roberts whose talk on goal setting and Focus hit the mark.

Great meeting this morning with a new business venture from Neil Fraser underway and positive business movement on the new business front.
Rod and Bruce also returned after a two hour meeting with Alex Salmond where the points we raised as a group were well received and a response was guaranteed.

We got off to a flying start this morning and we all agreed to keep the momentum going in 2010.
Several opportunities were presented and details of these will be circulated to you all. These included a software development and the launch of a new business venture involving Fortunetwork members, a business with patents for USA & Europe offering 40% ownership in return for help, and other projects from Kathryn, Ann and Louise.
Upwards and Onwards in 2010 - look forward seeing you at our party on Friday the 22nd January at 1 Devonshire Gardens.

A fantastic end to a snowy New Year. We are on fire and with the Scottish Business Fortunetwork Awards pending we look set to make business happen in 2010 and send out positive vibes about Fortunetwork and its Members.
The front end Website re-development will launch in January 2010 followed by the simplified and revamped back office. Further to that the new internal Fortunetwork sales and admin role will be concluded for Members to utilize.
Event coordination plans will be revealed by Judith Wilson and Ann Confrey to further focus us on business revenue generation and development.
A meeting with Rod Jamieson and the First Minister in January 2010 will see our points of view being aired. The objectives are to highlight as a group how we see the future of the SME business sector in Scotland and what could be done to improve things for the common good.

had an extremely cheery meeting today and openly discussed issues and ideas as to possible ways forward for promoting our businesses.
The events & PR team were busy planning for NEXT YEAR meetings.
It was agreed that we will not have a Members meeting next week and on the 9th December we will all go out for a social evening in Edinburgh - A wee swallee!

Special Guest Speaker Presenting to us on Wednesday 11th November 2009
Bernie Hewitt spent just over thirty years
as a British Army officer, leading, team building and motivating others in many
different parts of the world. Some of
the roles he filled during that time included command of a signals regiment of
400 men and women during the early stages of NATO operations in the Balkans,
and several other NATO appointments, one of which was the running an
international procurement programmer worth £55m.
He has also carried out numerous training assignments including one for
the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. Since
leaving the army in 2007 he has been working as a consultant, taking on
assignments covering a wide variety of subjects such as leadership and
management training, assisting companies in bidding for NATO contracts, advising
on command and control matters and carrying out training needs analyses. With a lot of experience of living and working
in both Europe and the USA (and the ability to speak French and some German) he is more than
willing to travel from his home in Dunfermline, Fife.

had an extremely buoyant meeting today and very much enjoyed the expert
presentation from Bill of Scotia Independent. We learned today how to
